Previously you can get the Employee Provident Fund (EPF) balance as an SMS on your mobile based on the PF number, state, city details entered in the given below URL.

Now you can check the EPF status online in the form of e-passbook. Inorder to get that online you need to register yourself with the following EPF website.

Pre-requisites for the EPFO Registration
Following details are required to register for the EPFO
1. Mobile No. - This is primary information so provide only the number that you use. you can get any further details, PIN, status updates SMSs sent to your mobile.
2. Date of Birth
3. Document - it can be PAN, AADHAR (UID), Rationcard, Driving License, Passport number, Voter ID, Bank Account number. This is going to be your primary identification in the website. So remember this
4. Name as in document - based on selection of document (e.g. PAN then the name as given in PAN)
5. Document Number/Value - the id number (for e.g. PAN AXXXXXXXD)
6. Email Id
Registration
1. Open the link : http://members.epfoservices.in/employee_reg_form.php
2. Provide all the details given in the above prerequisite section
3. Click "Get PIN" button to get the PIN on the registered mobile number.
4. Once the PIN is received on the registered mobile number, enter that and confirm registration
Download e-Passbook
After you login with the Document, Document Number and Mobile Number, Then Member area gives various options to download e-passbook, update profile etc..
Click on the Download e-Passbook, then provide state, EPFO city, PF Number, mobile number, and Get PIN to get the number,
Upon entering the PIN and click "Get Detail"
If you are doing it for the first time, then it may show blank and provides an option to request for the latest and will get a confirmation that a SMS message will come on completion of processing your request.
